Plane of Torment

Plane of Torment is the Chapter 5 bridge into Saryrn's story and the road toward Plane of Time. The parent scripts include Argan Milek, the four avatars, Baraguj Szuul, Tylis Newleaf, the four tormentor bosses, The Keeper of Sorrows, Saryrn, the Coven Excruciator, and the Torment essence chest.

Quick Path

Hail Argan Milek near the start of the zone.
Follow his dialogue and choose to save what is left of your memories.
Kill A Horrifying Vision.
Hail the returned Argan Milek and finish his dialogue.
Kill the four avatars and loot their orbs.
Combine the four orbs in Mouths of Baraguj Szuul to create the Screaming Sphere.
Hand the Screaming Sphere to Argan Milek.
Kill the four tormentors and collect their shattered vision pieces.
Hand the Screaming Sphere to Tylis Newleaf and say ready to enter the Keeper event.
Kill The Keeper of Sorrows and collect the fifth vision piece.
Combine the five vision pieces in the Tier Upgrade Kit to make Shattered Visions of Torment.
Hand Shattered Visions of Torment to Tylis Newleaf.
Kill Saryrn.

Argan, Avatars, And The Screaming Sphere

Argan's dialogue unlocks the first memory step. A Horrifying Vision is invulnerable until the proper memory step has started. After it dies, Argan returns and unlocks the avatar layer.

The four avatars drop Orb of Agony, Orb of Anguish, Orb of Pain, and Orb of Suffering. Combine those four orbs in Mouths of Baraguj Szuul to make the Screaming Sphere. Baraguj Szuul throws nearby players into his inner horror event; fight through the creatures inside and defeat him to secure the container.

Hand the Screaming Sphere to Argan to unlock the tormentor bosses.

The Four Tormentors

The Acolyte of Affliction spawns construct seedlings and drops Shattered Vision of Affliction, Seared Remnant of Affliction, Sufferable Hearts, Adorned Soulstone Mask, Black Cloak of Malise, Whip of Unending Pain, and Staff of Agonizing Battle.

Maareq the Prophet calls minions. If enough minions reach him, his script escalates the fight. He drops Shattered Vision of Maareq, Prophet's Twisted Eye, Sufferable Hearts, Battlecloak of Lost Souls, Lesser Eye of Insanity, Longblade of Ethereal Terror, and Shadow-woven Sleeves.

Salczek the Fleshgrinder is a pressure boss with ramping punishment. He drops Shattered Vision of Salczek, Fleshgrinder's Maw Fragment, Sufferable Hearts, Aegis of Gloom, Baton of Torment, Dirk of Great Sorrow, and Tormented Flute.

Ta'Grusch the Abomination uses the same Screaming Sphere unlock as the other tormentors and supplies the fourth tormentor vision piece.

The tormentor remnant pieces feed the Planar Manaforged Pack (Pet) path.

Keeper And Saryrn

Tylis Newleaf takes the Screaming Sphere, returns it, and sends the raid to The Keeper of Sorrows when you say ready. The Keeper drops Shattered Vision of Sorrow, Sorrow-Touched Ember, Painful Memories, Sufferable Hearts, Planar Mirrored accessories, Band of the Adorned, Great Blade of Malise, Crowned Staff of Anguish, and Tormentor's Chain Collar.

Saryrn is the zone capstone. Her script has Sorrowsong pressure, reset handling, and a Chapter 4 reflected check. She drops Painful Memories, a full spread of Planar Mirrored accessories, Girdle of Intense Reflected Durability, Reflected Gemstone of the Planes, Symbol of the Planemasters, and polymorph wands.

Coven Excruciator And Reflected Loot

The Coven Excruciator also has a mirror timer. At a random health threshold after the fight crosses the setup point, the script checks for the Torment mirror state. If it succeeds, the mirror cracks, the NPC gains reflected flavor, and reflected rewards such as Reflected Pebble Crusher, Shield of Reflected Holy Vigor, or Shield of Reflected Auras can be added.

Torment Mirror Recipe

To keep the reflected chain moving, build Eclipsed Midnight Mirror of Torment. Combine Eclipsed Midnight Mirror of Innovative Justice, Essence of Saryrn, and Tormented Essence in a Tier Upgrade Kit.

Essence Chest

The Torment essence chest is the 1,000 trash-kill reward track. It is useful, but it is not required to damage Salczek, Maareq, Ta'Grusch, the Acolyte, the Keeper, or Saryrn. The story flags above are what matter for invulnerability.

Practical Route

Follow Argan first, build the Screaming Sphere, kill the tormentors for the five vision-piece chain, then use Tylis to reach Keeper and Saryrn. Bring the Torment mirror for Saryrn and Coven Excruciator if you want reflected rewards instead of only standard Torment loot.
