Blighted Gear Evolution Guide

From Shadowed Eclipse

Blighted Gear Evolution Guide

Blighted Shadowsbane armor begins in Crushbone and evolves as you earn experience-bearing kills through later chapters of Shadowed Eclipse.

<c style="color:#ffcc00">Current live requirement: every active evolution step is now 2,500 experience-bearing kills.</c>

The important rule

Kills only count when the kill produces experience. If the target is trivial, too weak, or otherwise gives no experience, it will not advance Blighted gear.

Wear the evolving piece while fighting in one of the listed zones for that tier.

Versioned-zone note

Some normal and upside-down versions share the same underlying zone for evolution credit. If the zone is listed above and the kill gives experience, it can count for the active tier even when the guide route uses a special version of that zone. Temple of Veeshan and Temple of Veeshan Upside Down are the clearest example.

Where the armor starts

The first Blighted Shadowsbane pieces begin in Crushbone. The orc champions have been receiving chests of glowing armor, and their named champions may drop the starter pieces.

Evolution flow

Each armor slot follows the same kill-count structure:

  1. Find the starter piece in Crushbone.
  2. Wear the piece while earning experience-bearing kills in the Tier 1 zone list.
  3. When the piece evolves, move on to the next valid zone list.
  4. Continue through Tier 6, the final result.

Practical notes

  • If the item does not move, first check whether the target gave experience.
  • Grey/trivial kills are not useful for evolution.
  • Different armor slots evolve independently; each piece needs its own kill credit.
  • Every active step is now the same length: 2,500 experience-bearing kills.
