Mons Letalis is the lethal mountain step between Scarlet Desert and The Grey. The zone continues the essence progression and includes a hidden earth guardian encounter.

Access

Mons Letalis access comes from completing Scarlet Desert's essence requirements. The Envoy can create Mons Letalis instances and points forward to The Grey.

Essence Progression

Mons Letalis tracks trash and named essences. Lesser enemies can count toward the forty-essence trash requirement. Named enemies each record their own completion. Finishing the full set grants The Grey access.

Important named targets include A Corrupted Hivemistress, A Greater Horror, A Guardian Spire Spirit, A Imploded Stonegrabber, A Stonegrabber of Growth, An Ancient Rockhopper, An Angry ShikNar, Drema Young, and The Spire Lord.

Earth Guardian Encounter

The Elemental Essence of Earth is the trigger for A Stationary Stonegrabber. Hail it when the cooldown is ready and the ground cracks open as the guardian rises.

A Stationary Stonegrabber is a timed encounter with a thirty-minute despawn. During combat it cycles three core mechanics:

• Avatar Power.
• Bury.
• Earth Wave.

Its scripted rewards include:

• A random Veru gem.
• A random Mons Letalis reward.
• A Luclin class gear roll.
• A chance at Luclin bonus gems.
• Crushed Cherries - the third cherry piece.

Practical Route

Finish the trash and named essence requirements first so The Grey opens. Then use the Elemental Essence of Earth trigger for A Stationary Stonegrabber and farm it for the third cherry piece and Letalis reward rolls.
