The Grey Guide
The Grey is the final outdoor Luclin gate before Ssraeshza Temple. It combines trap spawns, named essence progression, and The Malignant Umbral Revenant.

Access
The Grey access comes from completing Mons Letalis progression. The Envoy can create The Grey instances and points forward to Ssraeshza Temple.
The Harbinger of Luclin works here as the Luclin zone puller.
Essence Progression
The Grey tracks trash and named essence completion. Lesser enemies can count toward the trash requirement; named kills record individual essence flags. When all requirements are met, the script grants Ssraeshza Temple access.
Important named targets include Boulder, Stonehand, Crusader Kezzal, Rumblecrush, Stonegrinder, Ssolet Dnaas, Tectonic Lord, and Xakra Larva.
Traps and Stone Ambushes
Several parent scripts are trap-style spawns. Some ground or proximity triggers cause stone creatures, boulder fiends, Xakra, or named stone enemies to erupt around the player. The Grey is meant to feel hostile even while traveling, so do not assume a quiet path is safe.
The zone also contains a Vial of Elemental Binding interaction. The script returns the vial after the hand-in while waking the target, so this is a use-and-keep style interaction rather than a normal sacrifice.
The Malignant Umbral Revenant
Once the final Grey flag exists, Crusader Kezzal can trigger The Malignant Umbral Revenant. The Revenant has a five-minute engage window; if nobody engages it, it goes still and depops.
During combat it summons life-drain totems and skeletons. The totems alternate between blasting players and healing the Revenant. The Revenant also uses the usual Luclin boss pressure: help calls, cleansing, life drain, and low-health Wrath of Luclin risk.
Scripted rewards include:
- A random Veru gem.
- A random The Grey reward.
- A Luclin class gear roll.
- Hunter Credits.
- A chance at Luclin bonus gems.
- Crushed Cherries - the fourth cherry piece.
Other Notable Drops
The Grey's parent-folder drops include stone and acrylia-themed items such as Perfect Acrylia Ore, Lucid Shard, Meteor Dust, Rock Studded Smasher, Polished Stone Staff, Stone Bead Choker, and Xakra materials like Vacuum Wurm Eye and Vacuum Wurm Hide.
Practical Route
Move carefully, expect trap spawns, and complete the trash and named essence requirements to unlock Ssraeshza Temple. Once flagged, work Crusader Kezzal and The Malignant Umbral Revenant for the fourth cherry piece and the larger Grey reward package.
