Plane of Disease Guide
Plane of Disease is the first Planes of Power progression zone after the Luclin/Ssraeshza Temple path. On Shadowed Eclipse, it is a custom boss-and-essence zone built around disease guardians, spider pressure, Grummus, Crypt of Decay access, and the first PoP mirror upgrade.
How The Zone Plays
The zone is worth clearing, not just rushing Grummus. Regular kills build PoDisease essence progress, named bosses drop reflection shards and useful loot, and Grummus opens the next zone.
The general flow is:
- Clear trash while building PoDisease essence.
- Kill the named guardians for reflection shards and side rewards.
- Kill Grummus.
- Hail the Planar Projection that appears after Grummus to flag Crypt of Decay access.
- Use that same Projection to create and enter the Crypt of Decay dynamic zone.
PoDisease Essence And Reward Chest
Regular non-boss kills can add PoDisease essence progress. Each qualifying kill adds one essence update to your counter.
At 1000 PoDisease essences, the script resets your counter and spawns a reward chest at your location.
The PoDisease essence chest can drop:
- Elemental Essence
- Gooey Heart
- Twilight Reliquary
- Fumes rewards: Fumes of Endure, Force, Knowledge, Spread, and Tranquility.
- Torment accessories: Ear of Torment, Necklace of Torment, and Ring of Torment.
- Shard of Umbra Reflection
Zone-Wide Pressure
Bosses use Shadowed Eclipse scaling and are not tuned like old Plane of Disease. Most named fights have heavy melee pressure, high resists, and boss-only area life-drain pressure.
When a boss is engaged, the default script pulses damage to nearby players and bots within about 50 range. Stay aware of positioning, especially if you are boxing or pulling with bots stacked tightly.
Named Bosses
Rallius Rattican
Rallius Rattican is a spider-wave boss. He spawns an initial spider wave almost immediately after combat starts, then continues spawning more spiders every 20 seconds while engaged. If the fight resets, his spider adds are cleaned up.

Aramin the Spider Guardian
Aramin is another spider-themed boss. During combat he casts his plague silk pressure, and on death he spawns a pile of arachnae malevelers around the corpse. Be ready for cleanup after the boss dies.

Odaen
Odaen is a direct-pressure named. Once engaged, he repeatedly casts his custom boss spell on his current target every 10 seconds.

Gryme the Crypt Guardian
Gryme is the Crypt-themed side boss. While engaged, he casts Stench of Decay pressure every 30 seconds.

Grummus
Grummus is the progression boss. He has out-of-bounds protection, reset cleanup, and the PoP Chapter 1 mirror check.
At 35% HP, Grummus checks for a player with Decaying Mirror of Eclipsed Midnight equipped in the ammo slot and the mirror buff active. If the check passes, there is a 40% chance for Grummus to become reflected. A reflected Grummus gets harder and adds one reflected reward from his reflected pool.
Normal notable drops include:
- Twilight Reliquary
- Charm of Magic
- Diseased Relic
- Shard of Veiled Reflection
- Runestone of Decay
- Coalesced Essence of Decay
- Runestones of Nightmares, Torment, and Time.
- Timelost weapons and shields.
- Blighted Nef, Ort, Amn, and Ko runes.
- PoD bracers, Eon wrist pieces, Tear of Decay, Broken Runed Lance, Feverish Shard, and Pus Covered Beetle Carapace.
- Rare Charm of Magic upgrades from II through X.
Reflected Grummus can add one of:
When Grummus dies, he spawns a Planar Projection if one is not already up.
Crypt Of Decay Access
After Grummus dies, hail the Planar Projection.
The Projection grants Crypt of Decay access if you do not already have it. The flag is also granted to group or raid members on the same IP. After that, the Projection offers a Crypt of Decay DZ option. Say it to create the dynamic zone, then say ready to enter.
This is the practical handoff from Plane of Disease into Crypt of Decay.
Mirror Progression
Plane of Disease starts the PoP mirror upgrade chain.
The early reflection shards from PoD and related Decay content combine into Fragmented Mirror of Decay. The recipe uses a Tier Upgrade Kit and these shards:
- Shard of Pestilent Reflection
- Shard of Cryptbound Reflection
- Shard of Withering Reflection
- Shard of Verminous Reflection
- Shard of Venomous Reflection
- Shard of Carrion Reflection
- Shard of Blighted Reflection
- Shard of Putrescent Reflection
- Shard of Hollowed Reflection
- Shard of Forsaken Reflection
Then Decaying Mirror of Eclipsed Midnight is made with:
- Eclipsed Mirror of Midnight
- Fragmented Mirror of Decay
- Shard of Eclipsed Reflection
- Tier Upgrade Kit
Keep the Decaying Mirror equipped in ammo and use its buff before Grummus if you are trying for reflected rewards.
Practical Route
Start by clearing trash and building essence progress. Kill Rallius, Aramin, Odaen, and Gryme for their shards and side rewards. Save Grummus for the progression push, especially if you are trying to bring the Decaying Mirror online for the reflected check. After Grummus dies, hail the Planar Projection, take the Crypt of Decay flag, create the Crypt of Decay DZ, and move on.
