Crypt of Decay Guide

Crypt of Decay is unlocked from Plane of Disease. This guide uses the current parent scripts in quests/codecay.

Main Encounters

Bertoxxulous is the capstone. His script and loot table mark him as one of the major PoP custom bosses. Notable drops include Twilight Reliquary, Elemental Essence, Coalesced Essence of Decay, Runestone of Decay, Diseased Artifact, Mirrorbound Aegis, Shard of Blightwoven Reflection, Timelost weapons, Runestones, and Blighted runes.

Overlord Banord Paffa and the COD Trigger scripts drive the crypt event path leading deeper into the zone. Barban Cryptwalker and Tarkil Adan are additional custom named scripts.

The default script is large and upgrades the zone's general NPC behavior, so even ordinary crypt mobs can be part of the custom difficulty layer.

Access And Projection

Crypt of Decay access comes from the Plane of Disease projection after Grummus. The Crypt also has its own Planar Projection script for post-clear progression.

Practical Route

Enter through the Disease unlock, work the named crypt scripts, then push Bertoxxulous for the key PoP-tier rewards and Decay items.
