Katta Castellum Guide

Katta Castellum follows Tenebrous Mountains in the Luclin path. This is not a normal city tour: it is a scripted combat instance around the Kattan Banner, Lcea Katta, Lord Inquisitor Seru, and the first real push toward The Twilight Sea.

Access

Katta access is handled by the Envoy of Sel`Rheza in Tenebrous Mountains. Say "katta" to enter the Katta instance.

The next-zone access item here is Key to The Twilight Sea. Its global script only works inside Katta Castellum. On click, it grants Twilight Sea access to the clicker or matching same-IP group/raid members, then consumes the key.

Kattan Banner

The Kattan Banner is the start button for the main Katta encounter.

Hand The Symbol of Kattan Loyalty to the banner to plant the symbol and raise Lcea Katta. That hand-in records your loyalty state. After that, hailing the banner can raise the encounter again after its short cooldown, as long as the banner is not already active.

Lcea Katta

Lcea Katta is the main defender encounter. She opens with a zone shout and then tests the raid with several layered mechanics:

• At health breaks she fires a close-range area damage pulse.
• At two of those breaks she calls nearby minions onto her top hate target.
• Near the end of the fight, Wrath of Luclin can fire at very low health points, punishing players, bots, and pets near her.
• Incoming damage is reduced by the script, so the fight lasts longer than her level alone suggests.
• On death, she has a chance to spawn Lord Inquisitor Seru.

• Key to The Twilight Sea - next-zone access key.
• a kattan mixing bowl.
• Charm of the Shadows.
• Greatbow of Umbra.
• Masamune, the Skycutter.
• Penumbral Bow of the Mistress.
• Reforged Sword of Truth.
• Sigil Earring of Veracity.
• The Scepter of Shadows.
• Talisman of Vah Kerrath.
• Tablet of Blighted Runes.
• Thelin's Lunar Dream, Bemmy's Script of Pain, Belmont Issy's Shawl of Magic, and Veruca's Lunar Madness.
• Timelost and Runestone rewards such as Runestone of Nightmares, Runestone of Time, Timelost Scepter of Shadows, and Timelost Shield of Mental Fortitude.

Several of the bigger reward items have built-in effects rather than separate global scripts. Examples include Greatbow of Umbra, Masamune, Reforged Sword of Truth, The Scepter of Shadows, Timelost Shield of Mental Fortitude, and Penumbral Bow of the Mistress.

Lord Inquisitor Seru

Lord Inquisitor Seru can appear after Lcea Katta dies. He shares much of the Katta reward pool and has a much higher chance to drop Key to The Twilight Sea. He can also drop a whisk, pairing with the Katta cooking-piece theme.

Seru's table includes the Yttrium armor pieces, Tablet of Blighted Runes, Thelin's Lunar Dream, Bemmy's Script of Pain, Belmont Issy's Shawl of Magic, Veruca's Lunar Madness, and the Twilight Sea key.

Dormant Unholy Chest

The dormant unholy chest belongs to regular Katta. It watches for nearby players carrying Shard of Unholy Awakening.

If a player with that shard gets close enough, the dormant chest wakes up and swaps into the active unholy chest. The shard is the trigger for the chest script, so bring it to the chest and stand close enough to awaken it.

Whipped Waffle And Katta Upside Down Access

Katta is where the waffle chain upgrades into A Whipped Syrupy Ego Waffle, the access item for Katta Castellum The Upside Down.

Make A Whipped Syrupy Ego Waffle by combining:

• A Syrupy Ego Waffle.
• a kattan mixing bowl, from Lcea Katta.
• a whisk, from Lord Inquisitor Seru.
• fine powdered sugar.
• fine sweetened cream.

Right-click A Whipped Syrupy Ego Waffle while out of combat to summon Eleven at your location. Hail Eleven, say "list zones," choose "Katta Castellum The Upside Down," then say "ready" after the dynamic zone is created. The script creates Katta version 1 for this upside-down path.

Zonewide Boss Rules

The default Katta parent script upgrades eligible bosses and enemies across the zone:

• Bosses can call nearby minions at a health break unless silenced.
• Bosses pulse a short-range life drain while engaged.
• Some enemies can trigger Wrath of Luclin near low health.
• Eligible deaths can spawn an umbral beast.

An umbral beast can drop Hunter Credit.

Practical Route

Enter from Tenebrous through the Envoy and use the Kattan Banner to raise Lcea Katta.

Farm Lcea and Seru for the Twilight Sea key, Katta cooking pieces, Luclin weapons, runestones, and Yttrium gear. Bring Shard of Unholy Awakening to the dormant unholy chest when you are ready to wake it. Click Key to The Twilight Sea while still in Katta to unlock the next Luclin zone. If you are following the upside-down path, combine the Katta cooking pieces into A Whipped Syrupy Ego Waffle and use it to open Katta Castellum The Upside Down.
