Eastern Wastes Guide

Eastern Wastes is the bridge between Iceclad and Crystal Caverns. The main custom progression is the task Lay Waste to the East!, which rewards the key for Crystal Caverns.

Access

Eastern Wastes access is granted by Passage to Eastern Wastes. Hand it to Masurt Dok in Iceclad. Masurt flags the player, or same-IP group/raid members if grouped or raided.

Main Task: Lay Waste To The East

The task objectives are:

Kill 5 snow dervishes.
Kill 5 dire wolves.
Kill 5 frost giants.
Kill 5 mammoths.
Kill 5 kodiaks.
Kill 5 ulthorks.
Kill 5 snow bunnies.
Kill Warden Bruke.
Kill Captain Ulmog. The task note says the ogre mercenary is the placeholder, with a 7 minute repop.
Kill Interrogator of Ry`Gorr.
Kill Fjloaren Icebane. The task note says this can be a Frostbane Scout 25% of the time, with a 5 minute repop.
Kill Chief Ry`Gorr. Firebrand, Oracle, and Chief Avengers are optional, and Avengers can have a rare hotshot variant.

Reward: Key to Crystal Caverns.

Take the Crystal Caverns key back to Masurt Dok in Iceclad to receive the Crystal Caverns zone flag.

Scripted Encounters

Eastern Wastes has several custom named scripts, including Warden Bruke, Chief Ry`Gorr, Fjloaren Icebane, Scout of Frostbane, Frostbane's Champion, Ry`Gorr Avengers, and Hot Shot Ry`Gorr Avenger.

The zone also has custom player/zone-controller scripting and a blizzard bits script, so expect named spawns and weather/event behavior to be more than plain stock Eastern Wastes.
