Maidens Eye
Maiden's Eye Guide
Maiden's Eye is the Luclin step after The Deep. The access key from The Deep points here, and Maiden's Eye then points forward into Akheva Ruins through its own key drops.
The zone is built around Sel`Rheza's Envoy, versioned instance entry, the Sanctum of Dust watcher puzzle, the Forgotten Lyceum spirit fight, the Waning Crescent Bastion token event, roaming Moon Rocks, and The Maiden as the major payoff target.
Access
Maiden's Eye access comes from The Deep through Key to Maiden's Eye. The key only works while clicked in The Deep. Its global script grants Maiden's Eye access to the clicker, or matching same-IP group/raid members, then consumes the key.
The Envoy of Sel`Rheza offers a Maiden's Eye instance. Say "maiden" to enter the Maiden's Eye instance. The same Envoy can also send players to Akheva Ruins once that path has been opened.
Parent Script Rules
The parent default script retunes Maiden's Eye only in the instance version.
Instance behavior includes:
- Named bosses call nearby enemies onto their top hate target at half health unless Mark of Silence is active.
- Bosses pulse a short-range life drain while engaged.
- Enemies can trigger Wrath of Luclin near low health, damaging nearby players, bots, and pets.
- Eligible deaths can spawn an umbral beast.
An umbral beast can drop Hunter Credit, so kill it when it appears instead of leaving it behind.
Sel`Rheza and Moon Rocks
Sel`Rheza, The Lunar Oracle is the recurring narrator and pressure source for the zone. On spawn she adds a lunar nimbus, shouts immediately, and starts two repeating timers:
- Every two minutes she shouts cryptic messages about the Sanctum, Lyceum, Watch, Quorra`Zel, Nyseria, Luclin, and the Mirror Moon.
- Every two minutes she summons one to three Moon Rocks to seek intruders.
Moon Rocks are mobile hunters. They repeatedly pick a non-GM player, warn that the player feels watched, then move to that player's location. Treat them as roving pressure, especially during Bastion work.
Sel`Rheza can drop powersource upgrade gem.
Sanctum of Dust
The Sanctum of Dust is the watcher puzzle that leads to Hieromancer Virethil.
The controller spawns four followers of dust and a placeholder Hieromancer. It then checks every second to see whether all four followers have the required familiar/debuff effect active. When all four are properly debuffed, the placeholder depops and Hieromancer Virethil appears.
The followers are invulnerable by default. When the correct effect lands on one, that follower becomes vulnerable only briefly, then re-enables invulnerability after a short timer. The event is about applying the right effect and controlling the watcher state, not simply burning four skeletons.
When Hieromancer Virethil dies, the controller resets the watcher setup after seven minutes. Hieromancer Virethil can also spawn The Maiden.
Important Sanctum drops:
- Token - Chorus of Still Breath - one of the three Bastion summon tokens.
- Key to Akheva Ruins - access key with a lower success chance.
- Maiden's Earring of Aggression.
- Maiden's Earring of Soothing.
- Maiden's Veil of Fury.
- Moon Toxin Rk1.
- Wand of Plagues.
Followers of dust can also drop powersource upgrade gems, Skeleton Parts, Bone Chips, Sunshard Pebble, and Magi'kot jewelry.
Forgotten Lyceum
Archivist Thry`sel is the Forgotten Lyceum fight. On engage, the Archivist declares that knowledge is infection and sets phase checks at several health points.
At each phase, trapped spirits of the Lyceum rise from random locations. The script warning is blunt: do not use your wands of light on them.
Trapped spirits are spell-immune and dangerous. When engaged they pulse a large-radius life drain every few seconds against players, bots, and pets, while warning the zone that their spectral scream is draining life force. Kill them quickly or the room becomes a pressure cooker.
Archivist Thry`sel can spawn The Maiden on death.
Important Lyceum drops:
- Token - Chorus of Withered Thought - one of the three Bastion summon tokens.
- Key to Akheva Ruins.
- Maiden earrings, Maiden's Veil of Fury, Moon Toxin Rk1, Wand of Plagues, and Luclin class gloves.
Seeress Vaelline
Seeress Vaelline is a heavy named target with a discordant nimbus and a full suite of instant buffs on spawn. Her script is more direct than the puzzle fights: she is a tuned named with strong defenses and the same chance to spawn The Maiden on death.
Important Seeress drops:
- Token - Chorus of Broken Sight - one of the three Bastion summon tokens.
- Key to Akheva Ruins.
- Maiden earrings, Maiden's Veil of Fury, Moon Toxin Rk1, Wand of Plagues, and Luclin class gloves.
Waning Crescent Bastion
The Watchtower is the Bastion summoner. Hand it all three Chorus tokens:
The first successful hand-in attunes that character to the Bastion and starts the event. Later, hailing The Watchtower can summon the Bastion again if the cooldown is ready and the event is not already up.
The Bastion event spawns a large spread of pale knights, places Sel`Rheza at the event point, and spawns Knight-Ascendant Quorra`Zel at one of several possible locations. Moon Rocks are also part of the pressure around this event.
When Quorra`Zel dies, the script clears the Moon Rocks and pale knights, signals Sel`Rheza to depart, and can spawn The Maiden.
Important Bastion drops:
- Pale knights can drop The Coin of Fate and Luclin class gloves.
- Knight-Ascendant Quorra`Zel can drop Key to Akheva Ruins, The Coin of Fate, Maiden earrings, Maiden's Veil of Fury, Moon Toxin Rk1, Wand of Plagues, and Luclin class gloves.
The Coin of Fate has a global item script. It is consumed from an inventory slot and randomly chooses from several outcomes, including a Blessed Arena armor piece, special items, teleports, a portable banker, an AA scroll, or a dangerous one-hit-point result. It is a gamble item, not a normal equipment drop.
The Maiden
The Maiden is the major bonus and access target. Multiple Maiden parent-folder encounters can spawn her on death.
The Maiden is heavily tuned, fully buffed, and carries the best Akheva access key from this zone.
Important Maiden drops:
- Key to Akheva Ruins - better access key with a higher success chance.
- Curse of the Maiden.
- Run to the Hills - vinyl-style click item.
- Maiden's Mindful Veil.
- Maiden's Veil of Fury.
- Wand of Plagues.
- The Coin of Fate.
- Luclin class gloves.
Run to the Hills has a global click script. It opens a gate to the Beholder vinyl area and has a fifteen minute cooldown before another gate can be spun.
Akheva Keys
Maiden's Eye has two Akheva Ruins key versions:
- Key to Akheva Ruins drops from Hieromancer Virethil, Archivist Thry`sel, Seeress Vaelline, and Knight-Ascendant Quorra`Zel. Its global script only works in Maiden's Eye, has a lower chance to grant Akheva access, and always consumes the key.
- Key to Akheva Ruins drops from The Maiden. Its global script also only works in Maiden's Eye, has the better chance to grant Akheva access, and always consumes the key.
On success, the key grants Akheva Ruins access to the clicker or matching same-IP group/raid members.
Practical Route
Enter through the Envoy instance. Keep Moon Rocks controlled as they appear. Work Sanctum by handling the follower debuff puzzle, then kill Hieromancer Virethil. Work Lyceum by respecting the spirit warning and burning trapped spirits immediately. Collect the three Chorus tokens, hand them to The Watchtower, then clear the Bastion and Quorra`Zel. Kill The Maiden whenever she appears and keep farming until Akheva Ruins access lands.
