Ssraeshza Temple Upside Down Guide

Ssraeshza Temple Upside Down covers the Vecna encounter and The Black Mirror path to San Junipero.

Only the parent Ssra scripts tied to Vecna, The Black Mirror, and the version-one pressure around that encounter are covered here.

Access

This content branches from the reflected Ssra path after the regular Ssra completion work. The Time script is the clock event that leads to Vecna: when players enter the clock proximity, the Clock Guardians awaken. When both guardians die, Time receives the signals and Vecna appears after a short delay.

Required Mirror

Eclipsed Mirror of Midnight is the special mirror item. Its item data has a click effect that applies the mirror buff.

For The Black Mirror path:

  • Keep Eclipsed Mirror of Midnight equipped in the ammo slot.
  • Keep the mirror buff active.

The Black Mirror script checks both. If either is missing, it will not respond.

Vecna

Vecna is the major upside-down Ssra boss. He spawns with heavy buffs, casts a lunar nimbus effect, and starts spawning creeping blights while engaged.

The fight has a proximity check. If too few non-GM players stay close enough, Vecna shouts that the ritual collapses and the zone is depopped. Stay engaged and keep enough bodies near him.

At low health, Vecna has a chance to spawn The Black Mirror near the Emperor portal area. This is the important San Junipero window.

Vecna drops include:

The Lunar Device has a global click script that spawns a travel device at your location if you are out of combat.

The Black Mirror and San Junipero

The Black Mirror despawns after ten minutes. When it appears, qualified players receive the warning to hurry before it fades.

To use it:

  • Keep Eclipsed Mirror of Midnight equipped.
  • Keep the mirror buff active.
  • Get to The Black Mirror near the Emperor portal area before it fades.
  • Hail it.
  • It asks where you can go if you die, to live forever, should you choose to upload your consciousness.
  • The answer is "San Junipero."

On a correct answer, The Black Mirror creates a San Junipero expedition in Solusek Temple version 1. It grants San Junipero access to the qualifying player, or to same-IP group/raid members, then tells you to say "ready" to enter.

San Junipero is where you face reflected versions of old foes.

Version One Pressure

The parent zone controller has version-one-only proximity traps. Around this upside-down path, certain areas can spawn creeping blights, another larger blight wave, and Demogorgon, Guardian of the Basement. These are on cooldowns, so movement through the reflected temple can wake extra pressure before or after the Vecna pull.

Practical Route

Reach the clock event, kill both Clock Guardians, and prepare for Vecna. Keep Eclipsed Mirror of Midnight equipped and buffed. When Vecna is low, watch for The Black Mirror message and run to the Emperor portal area immediately. Hail it, answer "San Junipero," then say "ready" once the expedition is formed.
