Temple of Veeshan Guide

Temple of Veeshan is a scripted raid zone. The server uses the `templeveeshan` quest folder for both normal and upside-down Temple entries, so this page covers the shared mechanics: the zone controller, dragon wing progression, Vulak summon altar, back-slot protection check, cloak turn-in, and chained boss signals.

Access

Temple access comes from Key to The Temple of Veeshan. It is made from four wing items:

Combine the four wings in the Tier Upgrade Kit to create the key, then click the key from inventory for access.

Zone Controller And Wing Flow

The zone controller spawns NPC 1911 and signals it to begin progression. NPC 1911 is the main event brain:

  • It spawns the opening cluster of Temple mobs.
  • It counts death signals from many dragon and trash scripts.
  • It spawns follow-up waves when enough signal counts are reached.
  • It moves from early wave spawns into final-phase timers and boss spawns.

Many Temple NPC scripts are simple signal senders: they signal 1911 on death with values such as 100, 101, 102, 200, 201, 202, 300, 301, 400, 899, and 900. These values are used by the controller to determine what wave or boss comes next.

Vulak Altar

  1. Thylex of Veeshan is the Vulak summon altar.

Hand [1] to Thylex to prove your worth. The script sets a character flag, then offers a `VULAK` saylink. Saying Vulak summons Vulak`Aerr if the cooldown has cleared.

Vulak's script spawns two helpers at start and signals the zone controller on death.

Ego Waffle And The Upside Down Theme

Vulak is also where the server starts the Stranger Things-style Upside Down progression. His loot includes An Ego Waffle. The item lore calls it "11's favorite" and the global item script makes it a travel item rather than normal gear.

Right-click An Ego Waffle while out of combat to spawn Eleven at your location. Eleven stays up briefly and offers a dynamic-zone option for The Temple of Veeshan Upside Down. Say `list zones`, choose the Upside Down Temple option, then say `ready` after the expedition is created.

The waffle is also the first step in a later upgrade chain:

Treat this as the introduction to a recurring Luclin theme. The Upside Down versions are optional, separate dynamic zones, and are tuned to be very challenging compared to the normal route. They are not required to finish normal Temple progression, but the waffle drop tells players that the harder alternate path has started.

Final Encounter Protection

NPC 124155 checks the player's back slot every second while engaged. The guide should treat this as a required protective-item mechanic: players near the encounter without the expected back-slot protection can be punished by the script. Verify your protective cloak/back item before pulling the final encounter.

Notable Raid Mechanics

  • #Lady Mirenilla refreshes buffs every 90 seconds, flips immunity every 20 seconds, and calls for help every 5 seconds.
  • Lord Feshlak, Lord Kreizenn, and Lord Vyemm have timer-based scripts in Lua.
  • Some late Temple bosses, including 2145 and 2163, run level checks; 2145 also has a 38 second life-drain timer and spawns three follow-up NPCs on death.
  • a_creeping_blight uses hunt timers and signals controller 1911 on death.
  • Several bosses refresh buffs every 90 seconds or flip immunity states.

Cloak Of The Chosen

Sir Bard McQuaiden offers the Cloak of the Chosen quest. Bring 25 Power of the Chosen to receive Cloak of the Chosen.

Practical Route

Build the key before entry. Clear the wing flow without skipping signal mobs, because the controller depends on death counts. Use Thylex only when ready for Vulak. Before the final encounter, equip the required back-slot protection and confirm everyone understands that some bosses flip immunity or call adds. If An Ego Waffle drops, keep it: it is the first portal item into the Upside Down side content and becomes more important as Luclin opens up.
