Cobalt Scar Guide

Cobalt Scar combines Othmir barter quests, siren and sea-dragon related crafting, a custom Frostbane-style named, and the route into Siren's Grotto. The active custom scripts are mostly hand-ins plus one combat named.

Progression And Travel

The Cobalt Scar zone controller spawns NPC 117094 at its configured location. The active named script `Tiknonmanin` behaves like a Frostbane-style combat NPC: it keeps buffs up, has a 30 minute depop check, spawns adds every 30 seconds while fighting, and signals controller 1407 on death.

NPC 1723 is a simple say script, likely used as a local travel or guide point.

Othmir And Crafting Quests

Chief Kalan rewards Othmir items for local predator trophies:

• Four Ulthork Tusks reward a random Othmir item.
• Bulthar Herdmaster Tusk rewards Runed Othmir Spear.
• Two Regular Bulthar Tusks reward another random Othmir item.

Qarrgy Scallopgobbler handles shell/dragon crafting:

• Emerald Dragon Scales, Ulthork Tusks, and Unstained Fine Plate Breastplate make Emerald Dragonscale Tunic.
• Sea Dragon Scales, Ornately Runed Shell Necklace, and Unstained Fine Steel Bracer make Sea Dragonscale Bracer.
• Two Barracuda Liver reward Bladder of Acidic Ooze.

Bungre Crawcrusher accepts Lodizal's shell plus 10,000 gold and crafts Lodizal Shell Shield.

Bloogy Shellcracker accepts dragon meat, fish eggs, and seaweed ingredients for Othmir Prexus Totem.

an outcast siren handles Wenglawks' cloak route: Wenglawks' item becomes Idol of Solusek Ro, then the siren scale hand-in produces Giant Siren Scale Cloak.

Notable Drops

Cobalt Scar has a broad Velious loot pool including:

• The Coin of Fate.
• precious metal.
• Othmir/siren/dragon crafting materials listed above.

The timed shark scripts have 30 minute despawn timers, so do not trigger those and walk away if you need their drops.

Practical Route

Use Cobalt Scar as a preparation zone for Siren's Grotto and sea-dragon/Othmir crafting. Keep Ulthork tusks, Bulthar tusks, dragon scales, shell necklaces, seaweed/fish egg ingredients, and Lodizal shell until you know which hand-in you are doing.
