Kaesora

Kaesora is the first Kunark step after Kurn's Tower. On Shadowed Eclipse it is a custom ruin crawl built around buried Iksar memory, a 50-kill zone countdown, five rare mini-bosses, and the Chosooth-to-Atrebe progression chain.

The zone is worth clearing instead of rushing straight to the final hand-in. Normal trash advances the Kaesora countdown, the rare mini-boss points can become named half the time, and the named have their own personal loot plus a shared legacy bonus pool.

Access And First Read

The Kaesora greeter explains the route when hailed. The short version is:

• Find the old glowing iksar bones near the library.
• Hail the bones to wake Vampire Lord Chosooth.
• Loot a lesser paradoxical royal iksar scale.
• Bring that scale to the remains of a king near the lower royal halls.
• After that hand-in has been done once, that character can hail the remains to spawn Atrebe Sathir again.

Kaesora Stirs Countdown

Most ordinary trash kills advance the zone's custom 50-kill countdown. Pet and bot kills still resolve back to the owning player, so normal box/bot play counts correctly.

The zone warns players with marquee messages as the count gets closer to completion. When the 50th eligible trash kill lands, the ruins choose one of three responses:

• The Roaring Codex can spawn in the library stacks.
• A sudden trash ambush can spawn near the player who completed the countdown.
• The Coven of the Eclipse can briefly stir and apply its zone-wide blessing.

Named mini-bosses, Chosooth, Atrebe, sokokar adds, royal guards, and other scripted event mobs do not advance this trash countdown. It is meant to reward clearing the ruin, not looping the bosses.

The Roaring Codex

The Roaring Codex is the special book event from the trash countdown. It hunts for a target, moves toward players, and begins pulsing cursed ink pressure once fought. Expect repeated zone pressure every 20 seconds while it is engaged, plus the usual pet-pressure behavior.

It drops Roaring Codex of the Xalgoz Stacks every time.

Main Progression Chain

Vampire Lord Chosooth

The old glowing iksar bones warn that they should not be disturbed. Hailing them wakes Vampire Lord Chosooth on a one-minute character lockout.

Chosooth opens with a shout and summons a young sokokar every 20 seconds while in combat. Either burn him quickly or keep the sokokars controlled so they do not pile up.

Notable drops:

• a lesser paradoxical royal iksar scale - guaranteed progression piece for the remains of a king.
• Necklace of the True Creator - 50%.
• Choker of Atrebe Sathir - 50%.

Remains Of A King

Hand a lesser paradoxical royal iksar scale to the remains of a king. That permanently teaches the remains that your character has completed the hand-in. Afterward, you can hail the remains to wake Atrebe Sathir again, subject to the one-minute cooldown.

If the remains say you must first disturb them with the correct item, you have not done the scale hand-in on that character yet.

Atrebe Sathir, Son Of Rile

Atrebe Sathir is the main progression boss. Once combat begins, he calls royal guards after 40 seconds, then reinforces every 60 seconds. The fight gets messier if he is allowed to stay alive through multiple guard waves.

Notable drops:

• Helm of Temporal Flux - guaranteed.
• Symbol of Sathirian Royalty - guaranteed Kunark progression/lore piece.
• A paradoxical dragon bone - 30%.
• Necklace of the True Creator - 50%.
• Choker of Atrebe Sathir - 50%.

Rare Mini-Bosses

Kaesora has five special mini-boss versions at key spawn points. Each point has a 2-minute respawn and a 50% chance to be the named version. These named are the best reason to keep clearing the zone while working the main chain.

All five mini-bosses use the same combat pressure shell, and all five can drop:

• Necromantic Essence - 20%.
• Minor Coin of Fate - 15%.
• Coin of the 5 Tribes - 15%.
• A shared legacy bonus pool, including weapons such as Dagger of Frost, Deadwood Stave, Icy Blade, Kylong Hunting Knife, Luminary Two Handed Sword, Sage's Battle Staff, Shield of Spectral Essence, Spear of Mortification, and Spine Piercer.
• A smaller chance at Truesilver armor pieces from the shared bonus table.

Xalgoz

Xalgoz is one of the lower royal-hall mini-bosses and has a 50% personal roll between:

• Blade of Xalgoz
• Xalgozian Fang

Reaver Of Xalgoz

Reaver of Xalgoz is another lower-hall rare and has a 50% personal roll between:

• Deathwatch Sword
• Rod of Battle

Frenzied Strathbone

Frenzied strathbone is a mid-ruin rare and has a 50% personal roll between:

• Cryptrobber's Knife
• Mask of the Eight Eyes

Strathbone Runelord

Strathbone runelord is a caster-style rare and has a 50% personal roll between:

• Blade of Fiery Lamentations
• Kylong War Dagger

Spectral Librarian

Spectral librarian is the library rare and has a 50% personal roll between:

• Spectral Shroud
• Spirit Tome

Minor Coin Of Fate

Minor Coin of Fate has its own click script. When used, it is consumed and rolls one of several fate effects. It can award a random +2 relic armor piece, other special rewards, a rough penalty result, a teleport result, and it also has an independent 10% chance to grant 1 AA point.

That makes the coin a true gamble item rather than just vendor trash.

Practical Route

1. Enter Kaesora and hail the greeter if you want the in-game reminder.
2. Clear trash while checking the five mini-boss points. The rare versions are 50% spawns on 2-minute timers.
3. Watch the Kaesora countdown messages. At 50 eligible trash kills, be ready for the Roaring Codex, an ambush, or the Coven blessing.
4. Find the old glowing iksar bones and hail them to spawn Vampire Lord Chosooth.
5. Kill Chosooth, manage the sokokar adds, and loot a lesser paradoxical royal iksar scale.
6. Hand the scale to the remains of a king to unlock Atrebe Sathir for that character.
7. Kill Atrebe before royal guard waves overwhelm the room, then keep Symbol of Sathirian Royalty for progression.
