City of Mist

City of Mist is the Torsis progression zone on Shadowed Eclipse. This route is built around undoing the Ashiir family tragedy: hunt the three major named, collect their proof items, then bring all three to Zal`Ashiir to finish the zone.

The short version:

• Work through the city and watch the black reaver placeholders.
• Defeat High Scale Kirn for Engraved Ring.
• Defeat Lord Rak`Ashiir for Repentance to Cazic.
• Defeat Neh`Ashiir for Apology Letter to Zal.
• Neh`Ashiir's death brings out Zal`Ashiir.
• Hand Zal the ring, repentance, and apology to receive Symbol of the Ashiir Omen.

Expedition Entry

City of Mist uses an expedition version of the zone. Speak with the City of Mist expedition NPC, request the expedition, then tell them you are ready to enter.

Once inside, treat the zone as a named-hunting and proof-collection route. The trash matters because several named are reached through placeholder kills rather than standing idle in the open.

Main Completion Path

High Scale Kirn

High Scale Kirn is one of the three required named. A black reaver placeholder can become Kirn when killed. If Kirn does not appear, keep clearing that placeholder cycle.

Important behavior:

• The Kirn placeholder has a chance to upgrade into High Scale Kirn on death.
• Kirn gets more dangerous as the fight progresses.
• At low health, Kirn pushes harder with a final damage burst.

Required drop:

• Engraved Ring ??" Promise Ring of Neh`Ashiir. This is one of Zal's three required hand-in pieces.

Lord Rak`Ashiir

Lord Rak`Ashiir is the second required named. Another black reaver placeholder can become Rak`Ashiir when killed.

Important behavior:

• Rak`Ashiir opens with the betrayal story and escalates through health phases.
• At 75%, he speeds up and summons a temporal rift add.
• At 50%, he hardens defensively.
• At 25%, his melee damage increases.
• At 10%, he enters a final phase and summons additional temporal rifts.

Required drop:

• Repentance to Cazic ??" Lord Rak`Ashiir's written repentance. This is one of Zal's three required hand-in pieces.

Notable loot:

• The Wall of Lord Rak`Ashiir
• Belt of the Scorned
• A paradoxical claw of poison

Neh`Ashiir

Neh`Ashiir is the third required named. A black reaver placeholder can become Neh`Ashiir when killed.

Important behavior:

• Neh`Ashiir uses spell pressure and phase mechanics.
• At 75%, she begins using Tears of Neh`Ashiir.
• At 50%, she gains defense, casts Neh's Inferno Shock, and summons a temporal rift.
• At 25%, she uses Regretful Shock and increases her damage.
• At 10%, she speeds up and calls another temporal rift.
• When Neh`Ashiir dies, Zal`Ashiir appears.

Required drop:

• Apology Letter to Zal ??" Neh`Ashiir's apology letter. This is one of Zal's three required hand-in pieces.

Zal`Ashiir and Winning the Zone

Zal`Ashiir is not the first target. She appears after Neh`Ashiir dies.

Bring Zal all three proof items at the same time:

• Engraved Ring
• Repentance to Cazic
• Apology Letter to Zal

Zal rewards:

• Symbol of the Ashiir Omen

The Symbol of the Ashiir Omen points you forward to Emerald Jungle. Do not hand Zal partial pieces; hold all three until you are ready to complete the route.

Goomeninominon Augment Farm

The Goomeninominon is the zone's Chappell Roan hat tip: I'm Your Dream Goo's Dream Goo. You will run into this kind of reference more than once on Shadowed Eclipse.

This encounter is a farm target, not the Zal completion path. It is worth doing because it carries strong specialty loot and augment-style rewards.

Important behavior:

• Goomeninominon is durable and has heavy regeneration.
• It periodically throws out H-O-T-T-O-G-O during combat.
• If it drops combat, its timer stops.

• Gooey Goo Plated Helm
• Reflected Cloak of the Depths

Other City Mechanics

Several golem types can create temporal disturbances when killed. These are not the main win condition, but they are part of the zone's pressure and can appear while clearing.

Golem types that can call a temporal disturbance include:

• a fog golem
• a haze golem
• a mist golem
• a vapor golem
• an army behemoth

The black reaver placeholders are the important ones for the main path:

• One can become High Scale Kirn.
• One can become Lord Rak`Ashiir.
• One can become Neh`Ashiir.

If a required named does not appear, keep clearing its placeholder. The upgrade is not guaranteed every kill.

Before leaving City of Mist, make sure you have completed the actual route:

1. Loot Engraved Ring from High Scale Kirn.
2. Loot Repentance to Cazic from Lord Rak`Ashiir.
3. Loot Apology Letter to Zal from Neh`Ashiir.
4. After Neh`Ashiir dies, hand all three to Zal`Ashiir.
5. Receive Symbol of the Ashiir Omen.
