Western Wastes Guide

Western Wastes is built around the dragon arena flow. The parent zone scripts clear stray arena dragons when players enter, use the lesser disturbance as the access and event NPC, and let the zone controller keep the dragon chain moving after each kill.

Access and Event NPC

The lesser disturbance handles both the arena unlock and Dragon Necropolis access:

• Hand it Charm of the Dragon to flag yourself for the dragon arena event.
• After the flag, hail the lesser disturbance to summon the first arena dragon.
• The event has a 90 second cooldown before it can be started again.
• Hand it four Dragon Trinket to gain Dragon Necropolis access. If you are grouped or raided with same-IP characters, the script grants access to those matching members too.

Dragon Arena Mechanics

The arena starts with a random Western Wastes dragon. When that dragon dies, it signals the zone controller. The controller sets a chain length of five to nine dragons, then keeps spawning another random dragon after each kill until the chain reaches its final spawn.

The final arena spawn is one of these bosses:

• Sontalak
• Klandicar
• Esorpa of the Ring

All of the parent-scripted arena dragons share the same core combat behavior. At half health they become more dangerous, gain a stronger special ability set, and send a warning message to nearby players. Treat the 50 percent mark as the point where the fight tightens up.

Arena Dragon List

Regular arena dragons include Bratavar, Pantrilla, Glati, Vraptin, Derasinal, Ayillish, Karkona, Ionat, Entariz, Draazak, Gafala, Yeldema, Nintal, Vitaela, Hechaeva, Von, Tantor, Honvar, Kar Sapara, Jen Sapara, Harla Dar, Amcilla, Cargalia, Mazi, Myga, Crial, Linbrak, Onava, Neordla, Uiliak, Gangel, Atpaev, Quoza, Melalafen, Vohnkare, Jerigozia, and Veredenia.

Dragon Drops

Every regular arena dragon can drop:

• Glob of Gooey Goo - the key upgrade material for later goo augment combines.
• Dragon Crunchies
• Dragon Trinket - save four for Dragon Necropolis access through the lesser disturbance.
• Mirrored Mask of the Dragonslayers
• Mirrored Veil of Veeshan's Wings

Sontalak, Klandicar, and Esorpa of the Ring use the same reward set, with better odds on Dragon Trinket and the mirrored drops.

Goo Augment Path

Western Wastes is where Glob of Gooey Goo becomes important. The item lore is literal: nine of them are used to strengthen specific augment rewards.

The matching upgrade path is tied to the Dragon Necropolis goo encounter, The Goomeninominon. That boss can drop:

• Casual Confetti
• Pink Pony Curse
• Magical Essence of Goo
• Mighty Essence of Goo

The confirmed Tier Upgrade Kit combines are:

• Casual Confetti plus nine Glob of Gooey Goo upgrades into Gooey Casual Confetti.
• Pink Pony Curse plus nine Glob of Gooey Goo upgrades into Gooey Pink Pony Curse.

That makes Western Wastes worth farming even after the Dragon Trinket access step is done: the Goo continues feeding the Dragon Necropolis augment upgrades.

Practical Route

Bring a Charm of the Dragon to the lesser disturbance first so the arena can start. Farm the arena chain for Dragon Trinket, Glob of Gooey Goo, and the mirrored face items. Once you have four Dragon Trinkets, turn them in to the lesser disturbance for Dragon Necropolis access, then keep saving Goo for the The Goomeninominon upgrade recipes.
