Iceclad Guide

Iceclad is the Velious entry hub. The active root Iceclad scripts cover access routing through Masurt Dok, the pirate cape route, the Tower of Frozen Shadow key path, General Bragmur's ambush escort, Balix Misteyes' Shadow Guardian summon, and the Polar Kraken encounter.

Zone Tuning

The root Iceclad default script applies Shadowed Eclipse Velious tuning to most combat spawns in the zone. Boss-style names are tuned as heavier targets, while regular enemies are scaled lower. Expect mobs to assist, see invisibility and hide, move quickly, and use raid scaling.

Masurt Dok And Access Routing

Masurt Dok is the Iceclad access handler. Hailing him assigns the Iceclad exploration task and gives a dialogue option to travel to Great Divide.

Masurt also processes access hand-ins:

• Key to The Great Divide grants Great Divide access.
• Key to Tower of Frozen Shadows grants Tower of Frozen Shadow access.
• Key to Crystal Caverns grants Crystal Caverns access.
• Passage to Eastern Wastes grants Eastern Wastes access.
• Joshel's Bandana is accepted by Masurt as a small side hand-in.

When Masurt grants access, he applies the zone flag to the player, or to same-IP group or raid members when applicable.

Pirate Cape And Tower Key Route

Captain Nalot starts the pirate side of the main Iceclad chain after the Polar Kraken has been handled. Hand him Lump of Raw Alloy and he rewards old tattered pirates cape. Take that cape to Balix Misteyes.

Balix Misteyes accepts the cape, assigns the next Iceclad task, and returns the cape. Later, if shown a bottle of white dye, Balix sends the route onward to Nelet Durzit.

Nelet Durzit accepts a bottle of white dye, assigns the follow-up task, and returns the dye. When shown Iceclad Exploration Certificte, Nelet points the route to Vas Thorel.

Vas Thorel accepts Iceclad Exploration Certificte and gives orders to attack. After the later Iceclad pieces are combined into Completed Locker of Rewards, Vas Thorel rewards Key to Tower of Frozen Shadows.

Balix Misteyes And Scout Of Frostbane

Balix Misteyes can also trigger the Shadow Guardian encounter. Hand Balix Frosted Gem and he summons Scout of Frostbane near the tower.

Scout of Frostbane is tuned as a heavy Velious target and keeps Nimbus of Frost active on itself. Scout of Frostbane can drop:

• a bottle of white dye
• The Coin of Fate
• Mirrored Wristguards of the Tower
• Mirrored Veeshan's Crystalline Aegis
• Mirrored Veeshan's Spellshield
• Mirrored Veeshan's Ward
• Devourer Jewel of Velious
• Echoing Jewel of Velious

General Bragmur Ambush Escort

General Bragmur starts the Coldain attack route after receiving orders to attack. The active version of General Bragmur begins moving and triggers staged ambushes along the path.

The escort script calls in:

• Kromrif tracking wolves at the first ambush.
• Frost Giant Skirmishers at the second ambush.
• Commander Kvarid with additional Frost Giant Skirmishers at the third ambush.
• More Kromrif tracking wolves at the fourth ambush.
• Commander Vjorik with a larger Frost Giant Skirmisher wave at the final ambush.

The tracking wolves and skirmishers are temporary ambush mobs and depop if left idle. Commander Kvarid and Commander Vjorik are heavier targets.

General Bragmur's own loot table can drop:

• Crude Spinneret Fluid
• Malleable Loam

Commander Kvarid can drop:

• The Coin of Fate
• Mirrored Wristguards of the Tower
• Mirrored Veeshan's Crystalline Aegis
• Mirrored Veeshan's Spellshield
• Mirrored Veeshan's Ward
• Devourer Jewel of Velious
• Echoing Jewel of Velious

Commander Vjorik can drop:

• Blessed Golden Ribbon
• The Coin of Fate
• Mirrored Wristguards of the Tower
• Mirrored Veeshan's Crystalline Aegis
• Mirrored Veeshan's Spellshield
• Mirrored Veeshan's Ward
• Devourer Jewel of Velious
• Echoing Jewel of Velious

Polar Kraken

The empty chest accepts Stormfeather Talons. After that hand-in, hailing the chest can summon Polar Kraken. The hail has a one-minute character cooldown, and the chest will refuse to summon another Kraken while one is already active.

Polar Kraken is tuned as a boss, depops after 30 minutes, casts Squid's Ink on a timer, and summons Kraklings every 45 seconds while in combat. The Kraklings are cleaned up when the Kraken depops.

• Mirrored Veeshan's Crystalline Aegis

Joshel The Large

Joshel the Large gives Joshel's Bandana when asked about the Icebreaker. Masurt Dok accepts the bandana afterward.

Practical Route

Start with Masurt Dok for the Iceclad task and access routing. Use the Polar Kraken to earn Lump of Raw Alloy, take it to Captain Nalot for old tattered pirates cape, then work through Balix Misteyes, Nelet Durzit, Vas Thorel, and General Bragmur toward Key to Tower of Frozen Shadows. Keep the access hand-in items for Masurt, because he is the one who actually grants the zone flags.
