Twilight Sea Guide
Twilight Sea follows Katta Castellum in the Luclin path. It is a hunt-and-key zone built around island camps, elemental named, Cral Ligi camps, Vornol Transon, and the key construction that opens Fungus Grove.
The useful player flow is:
- Enter Twilight Sea with the Katta key unlock.
- Work the hunt-task targets while farming elemental and Cral Ligi camps.
- Kill Vornol Transon and his guardian for the Fungus Grove mold and major loot.
- Build Key to Fungus Grove.
- Hand that key to the Envoy for Key to Fungus Grove and a rusted key.
- Click the upgraded Fungus Grove key inside Twilight Sea to unlock Fungus Grove.
- Use the rusted key on the Cral Ligi cave loiterer if you want the secret experiment encounter.
Access
Twilight Sea access comes from Key to The Twilight Sea, which drops in Katta Castellum. Click it inside Katta to flag yourself, or same-IP group/raid members, for Twilight Sea.
The Envoy of Sel`Rheza in Twilight can send you back into Twilight Sea version 0 or forward to Fungus Grove once you have handled the Fungus Grove key work.
Hunt Task
The Twilight Sea hunt task is The Hunt Is On VII content and checks the following kills:
- Aero
- Hydro
- Inferno
- Praem Softbreeze
- Ranvin Darkwaters
- Terra
- a tro jeg official
- a berserk water elemental
- a berserk air elemental
- a berserk fire elemental
- a gigantic fire elemental
- a gigantic water elemental
- a gigantic earth elemental
- a greater fire elemental
- a greater water elemental
Several of these are PH spawns, so expect to clear camps rather than run straight boss to boss.
Spawn Chances And Timers
Twilight named and placeholder camps have been normalized for less waiting and fewer dead stretches between checks.
- All listed Twilight named / PH spawn points now use a 2 minute respawn timer.
- Any mixed named-versus-placeholder group is now a 50% named / 50% placeholder split.
- Fixed named spawns with no placeholder remain fixed, but also use the 2 minute respawn timer.
This applies to:
| Target | Current spawn rule |
|---|---|
| Aero | Air-elemental PH groups; 2 minute repop, 50% named where a PH exists. |
| Hydro | Water-elemental PH groups; 2 minute repop, 50% named where a PH exists. |
| Inferno | Fire-elemental PH groups; 2 minute repop, 50% named where a PH exists. |
| Terra | Earth-elemental PH groups; 2 minute repop, 50% named where a PH exists. |
| Praem Softbreeze | 2 minute repop. Mixed groups are 50% Praem / 50% PH; fixed Praem points remain fixed. |
| Ranvin Darkwaters | Shadow PH groups; 2 minute repop, 50% named where a PH exists. |
| a tro jeg official | Tribal PH groups; 2 minute repop, 50% named / 50% PH. |
| Berserk elementals | Berserk air, fire, and water camps use 2 minute repops. Mixed named pools split the named side against the PH side. |
| Gigantic elementals | Gigantic air, earth, fire, and water camps use 2 minute repops. Fixed gigantic camps remain fixed; mixed camps use the 50/50 named/PH rule. |
| Greater elementals | Greater water and greater fire camps use 2 minute repops. Fixed camps remain fixed; mixed camps use the 50/50 named/PH rule. |
| Vornol Transon | Fixed spawn, 2 minute repop. |
| a cral ligi cave loiterer | Fixed spawn, 2 minute repop. |
Elemental Key Pieces
The elemental named and special tribal named feed the Fungus Grove key combine.
- Aero can drop a windy key bit.
- Hydro can drop a wet key bit.
- Inferno can drop a hot key bit.
- Terra can drop a terran key bit.
- Ranvin Darkwaters can drop a darkwater key bit.
- Praem Softbreeze can drop a softbreeze key bit.
- a tro jeg official drops an official key bit.
The broader elemental hunt targets fill in the other key pieces:
- Greater elemental targets are tied to a greater key bit.
- Gigantic elemental targets are tied to a gigantic key bit.
- Berserk elemental targets are tied to a berserk key bit.
Named key-piece mobs can also roll Twink Boots of Luclin and Twink Helm of Luclin.
Fungus Grove Key
Vornol Transon and his guardian can drop Key to Fungus Grove Mold. Combine the mold with all ten key bits:
- a greater key bit
- a gigantic key bit
- a berserk key bit
- an official key bit
- a terran key bit
- a hot key bit
- a wet key bit
- a windy key bit
- a darkwater key bit
- a softbreeze key bit
The combine produces Key to Fungus Grove.
Hand Key to Fungus Grove to the Envoy of Sel`Rheza in Twilight Sea. The Envoy returns:
- Key to Fungus Grove, the actual right-click access item.
- a rusted key, used for the Cral Ligi secret.
Right-click the upgraded Fungus Grove key while inside Twilight Sea. Its global item script flags the clicker, or same-IP group/raid members, for Fungus Grove and then consumes the key.
Vornol Transon
Vornol Transon is the main normal named in Twilight Sea and now spawns on a 2 minute timer.
When he spawns, his script also creates Vornol Transon's guardian at a fixed nearby location. When Vornol enters combat, the guardian is pushed onto his target. If the fight resets, the guardian's hate list is wiped.
Mechanics:
- Vornol ramps up at 75%, 50%, and 25%, increasing damage, accuracy, and avoidance.
- He can call nearby minions within a large radius.
- He periodically strips debuffs.
- He pulses close-range life drain during combat.
- At low health he has a chance to fire Wrath of Luclin on nearby players, bots, and pets.
Notable drops from Vornol and his guardian include:
- Transon's Tapper
- Key to Fungus Grove Mold
- Twink Boots of Luclin
- Twink Helm of Luclin
- Glyph of Invul
- Issy Umbral Kitty Tacos
- Luclin's Weighted Shoulder Piece
- Lunar Mask of Myth
Cral Ligi Secret
The Cral Ligi cave loiterer is a fixed 2 minute spawn. Hand a rusted key to unlock the secret event for your character.
After the hand-in, hail the loiterer and choose "spawn the experiment" to spawn The Deadly Ixiblat Fer. The trigger has a short cooldown.
The loiterer itself can drop Page of the Cral Ligi, plus Twink Helm/Boots of Luclin.
The Deadly Ixiblat Fer
The Deadly Ixiblat Fer is the secret experiment boss.
Mechanics:
- On spawn it attacks nearby NPCs as well as players, so expect chaos if the area is not clean.
- It cycles elemental tints every 15 seconds: fire, earth, air, and water.
- It ramps harder at 75%, 50%, and 25%.
- It calls nearby NPCs within a large radius.
- It strips debuffs.
- It pulses life drain.
- It casts a fire-rain style spell on its top target.
- At low health it can fire Wrath of Luclin.
Its death script drops one stabilization item based on its active elemental tint:
It also always drops Advance Moon Augments, with a chance for a second copy. It then adds one reward from Lunar Mask of Myth, Luclin's Weighted Shoulder Piece, or Issy Umbral Kitty Tacos.
It can also add extra rewards from Glyph of Invul, Glyph of Rapture, Glyph of Rage, Twink Chest of Luclin, Twink Legs of Luclin, Twink Helm of Luclin, and Twink Boots of Luclin.
Zonewide Mechanics
The parent Twilight script upgrades eligible enemies and bosses.
- Bosses can call nearby minions.
- Bosses can cleanse debuffs.
- Bosses pulse close-range life drain during combat.
- Low-health Wrath of Luclin can hit nearby players, bots, and pets.
- Eligible deaths have a chance to spawn a burning umbral beast.
A burning umbral beast can drop Hunter Credit.
The Harbinger of Luclin zone-puller item works in Twilight Sea and can pull nearby NPCs within its radius. Use it carefully around Vornol, Cral Ligi camps, and the secret experiment because the zone scripts already have large help-call mechanics.
Practical Route
Start with the elemental island camps and work the Hunt Is On VII list while collecting the key bits. The key camps should now be fast 2 minute repops with 50% named chances, so rotate through the relevant camps instead of camping long lottery spawns.
Kill Vornol Transon whenever he is up. He is fixed, important, and supplies the key mold plus the better named loot. Keep the area clear before engaging him because his help-call radius is large and his guardian joins the fight.
Once the key bits and mold are complete, combine Key to Fungus Grove and hand it to the Envoy. Click the upgraded Fungus Grove key while still in Twilight Sea to unlock the next zone. If you want the optional secret, take the rusted key to the Cral Ligi cave loiterer and spawn The Deadly Ixiblat Fer.
