Maiden's Eye Guide

Maiden's Eye is the Luclin step after The Deep. The zone is an instanced route through three prerequisite encounters, then the Waning Crescent Bastion. The Bastion is not something you do first: The Watchtower requires all three Chorus tokens, so players need to clear the Sanctum, Lyceum, and Seeress paths before the Bastion summon works.

Access

Maiden's Eye access comes from The Deep through Key to Maiden's Eye. The key only works while clicked in The Deep. Its global script grants Maiden's Eye access to the clicker, or matching same-IP group/raid members, then consumes the key.

The Envoy of Sel Rheza offers the Maiden's Eye instance. Say "maiden" to enter. The same Envoy can also send players to Akheva Ruins once that path has been opened.

Parent Script Rules

The parent default script retunes Maiden's Eye only in the instance version. Trash is Luclin-tuned, sees invis, tracks, and can still matter during boss pulls.

Boss-type enemies use the same Luclin pressure package:

  • At half health they call nearby minions onto their top hate target unless Mark of Silence is active.
  • While engaged they pulse short-range life drain damage.
  • Eligible deaths can spawn an umbral beast.

An umbral beast can drop Hunter Credit, so kill it when it appears instead of leaving it behind.

The Three Bastion Prerequisites

The Watchtower requires all three Chorus tokens at once:

Until one character has those three tokens, the Bastion hand-in does not work. After the successful hand-in, that character is attuned and can hail The Watchtower to summon the Bastion again after the cooldown.

Sanctum of Dust

The Sanctum of Dust is the watcher puzzle that leads to Hieromancer Virethil.

The zone controller spawns the Sanctum controller. The controller creates four followers of dust and a placeholder boss. It checks every second to see whether all four followers have the required dust/familiar debuff. When all four are properly debuffed, the placeholder depops and Hieromancer Virethil appears.

The followers are invulnerable by default. When the correct effect lands on one, that follower becomes vulnerable only briefly before its timer restores invulnerability. This event is about keeping all four watcher states correct, not just burning skeletons.

Hieromancer Virethil remains invulnerable unless the watcher condition is satisfied. On death, he signals the controller to reset the watcher setup after seven minutes and has a chance to spawn The Maiden.

Important Sanctum drops:

Forgotten Lyceum

Archivist Thry`sel is the Forgotten Lyceum fight. On engage, the Archivist announces that knowledge is infection and starts phase checks at 80%, 50%, and 25%.

At each phase, trapped spirits of the Lyceum rise from random locations. The intended answer is your Wand of Light: use it on the trapped spirits to break the Lyceum ward and handle them quickly. Do not try to grind the spirits down raw; they are intentionally bloated if untreated. Keep the spirits controlled with the wand, then return pressure to the Archivist. On death, the Archivist has a chance to spawn The Maiden.

Important Lyceum drops:

Seeress Vaelline

Seeress Vaelline is the direct named path for the third token. She spawns heavily tuned, adds a discordant nimbus, and applies a full suite of defensive and utility buffs immediately.

She is less puzzle-based than Sanctum and Lyceum, but she is still a full Luclin boss with heavy mitigation. On death, she has a chance to spawn The Maiden.

Important Seeress drops:

Waning Crescent Bastion

The Watchtower is the Bastion summoner. Hand it all three Chorus tokens: Still Breath, Withered Thought, and Broken Sight. That means the practical requirement is clearing the three prerequisite encounter paths first.

The first successful hand-in attunes that character to the Bastion and starts the event. Later, hailing The Watchtower can summon the Bastion again if the ten minute cooldown is ready and the Bastion is not already active.

When the Bastion awakens, The Watchtower script spawns a large spread of pale knights across the Bastion area, spawns Sel Rheza, The Lunar Oracle at the event point, and spawns Knight-Ascendant Quorra`Zel at one of several possible locations.

Sel Rheza And Moon Rocks

Sel Rheza belongs with the Bastion event. She is spawned by The Watchtower when the Bastion starts, not as a standalone early step.

While present, Sel Rheza adds a lunar nimbus, shouts immediately, and starts two repeating timers:

  • Every two minutes she shouts cryptic messages about the Watch, Quorra`Zel, Nyseria, Luclin, and the Mirror Moon.
  • Every two minutes she summons one to three Moon Rocks to seek intruders.

Moon Rocks are mobile hunters. They repeatedly pick a non-GM player, warn that the player feels watched, then move to that player's location. Treat them as Bastion pressure and keep them cleaned up while working through the pale knights and Quorra`Zel.

When Quorra`Zel dies, the script depops Moon Rocks and pale knights, signals Sel Rheza to depart, and can spawn The Maiden.

Important Bastion drops:

The Coin of Fate has a global item script. It must be in an inventory slot, is consumed on use, and randomly chooses from several outcomes: a Blessed Arena armor piece, special items, teleports, a portable banker, an AA scroll, or a one-hit-point danger result. Treat it as a gamble item, not normal equipment.

The Maiden

The Maiden is the major bonus and access target. Hieromancer Virethil, Archivist Thry`sel, Seeress Vaelline, and Knight-Ascendant Quorra`Zel can each spawn her on death.

The Maiden is heavily tuned, fully buffed, and carries the best Akheva access key from this zone.

Important Maiden drops:

Akheva Keys

Maiden's Eye has two Akheva Ruins key versions:

  • Key to Akheva Ruins drops from Hieromancer Virethil, Archivist Thry`sel, Seeress Vaelline, and Knight-Ascendant Quorra`Zel. Its global script only works in Maiden's Eye, has a 35% chance to grant Akheva access, and always consumes the key.
  • Key to Akheva Ruins drops from The Maiden. Its global script also only works in Maiden's Eye, has a 50% chance to grant Akheva access, and always consumes the key.

On success, the key grants Akheva Ruins access to the clicker or matching same-IP group/raid members.

Practical Route

Enter through the Envoy instance. Clear Sanctum first for the Still Breath token, then Forgotten Lyceum for Withered Thought, then Seeress Vaelline for Broken Sight. Once one character has all three Chorus tokens, hand them to The Watchtower to wake the Bastion.

During Bastion, clear pale knights, control Moon Rocks, and find Knight-Ascendant Quorra`Zel. Sel Rheza is part of this event pressure and will depart when Quorra`Zel dies. Kill The Maiden whenever she appears and keep farming until Akheva Ruins access lands.
