== Parent Script Mechanics ==
The Echo Caverns parent script retunes normal enemies and named bosses into Luclin difficulty.
Boss behavior includes:
* Named bosses can call nearby enemies onto their top hate target at half health unless Mark of Silence is active.
* Bosses pulse a short-range life drain while engaged.
* Enemies can trigger Wrath of Luclin near low health, damaging nearby players, bots, and pets.
* Eligible deaths can spawn an umbral beast.
* Echo bosses can add Luclin class armor pieces and shared Luclin progression drops.
The umbral beast can drop [https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=33208 Hunter Credit], so it is worth killing instead of skipping.
== Harbinger of Luclin Zone Puller ==
[https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=54268 Harbinger of Luclin] is the Luclin zone puller. It is not a passive information window: when clicked in a supported Luclin zone, it forces nearby NPCs within about 400 range to aggro the clicker. It has a two minute reuse timer. Outside supported Luclin zones, it only resonates faintly and does nothing.
The supported Luclin zones are Shadeweaver's Thicket, Paludal Caverns, Echo Caverns, The Deep, Maiden's Eye, Akheva Ruins, Tenebrous Mountains, Katta Castellum, Twilight Sea, Fungus Grove, Grimling Forest, Scarlet Desert, Mons Letalis, The Grey, and Ssraeshza Temple.
In Echo, this item can help gather scattered tunnel mobs or force nearby stragglers into the pull, but it can also make the four-head hunt messier if used near boss rooms. Click it only when the group is ready to receive the pull.
== Checkpoint Flag ==
[https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=33212 Checkpoint Flag] is the actual checkpoint and boss-routing item. It is separate from Harbinger of Luclin.
In Echo Caverns, clicking Checkpoint Flag checks the character's Echo checkpoint and boss unlocks:
* If the Echo checkpoint is unlocked, the flag offers the checkpoint route.
* If the boss route is unlocked, the flag offers the boss route too.
* If the checkpoint is still locked, the flag says both paths are blocked.
[https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=39072 A Checkpoint Stone] is the item that unlocks the Echo checkpoint. Clicking the stone consumes it and permanently opens the Echo checkpoint route for that character. The stone can drop from General Jared Blaystich and The Great Saprophyte.
Checkpoint Flag currently has special handling in Paludal Caverns and Echo Caverns.
== Four Head Unlock ==
Paradigm of Reprobate is the Echo Caverns gatekeeper. Hand in all four unique heads once and the character is flagged for the Echo Boss challenge. After that, hailing Paradigm tells you that the heads are already complete, and saying "Echo Boss" starts the challenge. The challenge has a one minute lockout between starts.
Required heads:
* [https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=40388 Head of the General] - drops from General Jared Blaystich.
* [https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=40389 Head of The Great Saprophyte] - drops from The Great Saprophyte.
* [https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=40390 Head of the King] - drops from King Gomklin of Below or King Grery of Above.
* [https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=40391 Head of the Taskmaster] - drops from Taskmaster Torkazh.
General Jared Blaystich is scripted as a real fight, not just a head container. He is tuned up on spawn, starts a health event when engaged, and calls for guards at half health.
== Echo Boss Chain ==
Saying "Echo Boss" after the Paradigm flag despawns Paradigm and spawns An Echo of the Past. An Echo of the Past shifts appearance repeatedly during the fight. When it dies, the zone controller waits briefly and then spawns the six Echo bosses:
* Echo Rhian Teasdale
* Echo Paramore
* Echo Yeule
* Echo Acurev
* Echo Amyl
* Echo Bikini Kill
This is the main Echo Caverns progression event. Treat it as a multi-boss pull, not a single named spawn.
== Echo Boss Mechanics ==
Echo Paramore is the control fight. While engaged, Paramore can charm a random player every 30 seconds and uses song-style pressure, including anti-magic effects and a temporary health increase.
Echo Yeule is the add fight. Yeule summons a skeleton pet on spawn, then calls more skeletons at 75, 50, and 25 percent health. When signaled by its skeleton support, Yeule gains a short spectral shroud with much higher armor and regeneration before settling back down.
Echo Acurev is the gravity and caster pressure fight. It casts its power spell on spawn, then uses a 15 second combat timer to hit players with gravity-style pressure and shouts reversed Coven messaging.
Echo Amyl is the dark magic fight. Every 15 seconds it chooses from several effects: a dark self-cast, a chill effect, or a temporary health increase that starts an enrage timer. At low health, it fires a final darkness cast.
Echo Bikini Kill is the monk pressure fight. It opens with Hundred Fists, can rotate Hundred Fists, Whirlwind, and a temporary health spike, uses Thunderkick discipline on a timer, and casts Lightning Shock at low health.
Echo Rhian Teasdale does not have a separate parent-folder script, but it is part of the controller-spawned Echo boss set and carries its own Echo loot table.

Echo Caverns Guide

Echo Caverns is the first Luclin zone where the Sel`Rheza path starts turning into a larger boss chain. The zone uses an Envoy instance entry, a four-head unlock through Paradigm of Reprobate, then a staged Echo encounter that can open the route into The Deep.

Access

Echo Caverns access comes from Paludal Caverns through Key to Echo Caverns. The Paludal key script grants the zone flag to the clicker, or matching same-IP group/raid members, and consumes the key.

The Envoy of Sel`Rheza offers Echo Caverns and hints that The Deep is the next locked route once Echo has been cleared enough.

Parent Script Mechanics

The Echo Caverns parent script retunes normal enemies and named bosses into Luclin difficulty.

Boss behavior includes:

  • Named bosses can call nearby enemies onto their top hate target at half health unless Mark of Silence is active.
  • Bosses pulse a short-range life drain while engaged.
  • Enemies can trigger Wrath of Luclin near low health, damaging nearby players, bots, and pets.
  • Eligible deaths can spawn an umbral beast.
  • Echo bosses can add Luclin class armor pieces and shared Luclin progression drops.

The umbral beast can drop Hunter Credit, so it is worth killing instead of skipping.

Harbinger of Luclin Zone Puller

Harbinger of Luclin is the Luclin zone puller.

Checkpoint Flag

Checkpoint Flag is the actual checkpoint and boss-routing item. It is separate from Harbinger of Luclin.

In Echo Caverns, clicking Checkpoint Flag checks the character's Echo checkpoint and boss unlocks:

  • If the Echo checkpoint is unlocked, the flag offers the checkpoint route.
  • If the boss route is unlocked, the flag offers the boss route too.
  • If the checkpoint is still locked, the flag says both paths are blocked.

A Checkpoint Stone is the item that unlocks the Echo checkpoint. Clicking the stone consumes it and permanently opens the Echo checkpoint route for that character. The stone can drop from General Jared Blaystich and The Great Saprophyte.

Checkpoint Flag currently has special handling in Paludal Caverns and Echo Caverns.

Four Head Unlock

Paradigm of Reprobate is the Echo Caverns gatekeeper. Hand in all four unique heads once and the character is flagged for the Echo Boss challenge. After that, hailing Paradigm tells you that the heads are already complete, and saying "Echo Boss" starts the challenge. The challenge has a one minute lockout between starts.

Required heads:

General Jared Blaystich is scripted as a real fight, not just a head container. He is tuned up on spawn, starts a health event when engaged, and calls for guards at half health.

Echo Boss Chain

Saying "Echo Boss" after the Paradigm flag despawns Paradigm and spawns An Echo of the Past. An Echo of the Past shifts appearance repeatedly during the fight. When it dies, the zone controller waits briefly and then spawns the six Echo bosses:

  • Echo Rhian Teasdale
  • Echo Paramore
  • Echo Yeule
  • Echo Acurev
  • Echo Amyl
  • Echo Bikini Kill

This is the main Echo Caverns progression event. Treat it as a multi-boss pull, not a single named spawn.

Echo Boss Mechanics

Echo Drops

The six Echo bosses share a major Luclin loot pool:

The Echo bosses also carry Lunar Midnight armor by slot, powersource upgrade gems, tier 2 armor and weapon upgrade gems, Minor Coin of Fate, and badge/book pieces. Echo Rhian Teasdale can drop Partial Book of Seances, while the other Echo bosses carry individual Book of Seances pages.

Practical Route

Clear the named targets for the four heads first. Turn all four heads in to Paradigm once, then use the "Echo Boss" phrase whenever you want to start the event afterward. Burn An Echo of the Past cleanly, then be ready for the controller wave: handle charm from Paramore, clean up Yeule's skeletons, watch Acurev's gravity pressure, and save cooldowns for Amyl and Bikini Kill if the wave stacks badly.

Keep Key to The Deep. It is the access item for the next Luclin route.
