Field of Bone

Level Range: 60+

Field of Bone is the Kunark entry step that opens the path into Kurn's Tower. The custom progression here is centered on Emperor Ganak, his access task, the two Kurn key pieces, and the optional Jaled`Dar raid summon in the dragon-bone pit.

Important Hail Note

If you warp directly to Emperor Ganak and he does not respond, clear your target, target him again, and then hail.

The NPC can fail to answer if you warp in and hail while keeping the same target lock. Untargeting and retargeting fixes the interaction.

Getting Started

Find Emperor Ganak near Kurn's Tower and hail him. He assigns task Kurn's Tower Access (kurns has 0 exp on purpose).

The task description notes that if you box, only one client on your IP needs to complete this access step. The reward is Key to Kurn's Tower.

Kurn's Tower Access Task

Complete the task objectives in Field of Bone:

2	Defeat 5 burynai excavators	Task target is a_burynai_exca.
3	Defeat 5 burynai burrowers	Task target is a_burynai_burr.
4	Loot Top portion of a key	Drops from The Tangrin.
5	Loot Bottom portion of a key	Drops from The Guardian of Kaesora.

After you have both key pieces, hand the top and bottom portions to Emperor Ganak. He returns Key to Kurn's Tower.

Flagging Kurn's Tower

Use the Key to Kurn's Tower to receive the Kurn's Tower zone flag.

The key click script flags the clicker and also flags group or raid members on the same IP. The item is consumed after it grants access.

Kurn's Tower is intentionally marked as a no-exp progression zone in this access text.

Kaesora Key

Field of Bone also contains The Guardian of Kaesora. Turning in Key to Kaesora to the Guardian, or clicking that key, grants access to Kaesora.

The clickable Kaesora key script also shares the flag to same-IP group or raid members and consumes the item afterward.

Raid Target: Jaled`Dar

The dragon-bone pit contains a pile of dragon bones. Hand in A paradoxical dragon bone to the pile to flag that character for the event and immediately spawn Jaled`Dar.

After the first hand-in, hailing the pile can spawn Jaled`Dar again on a 1-minute cooldown. If the pile tells you to wait, the cooldown has not finished yet.

Jaled`Dar shouts on spawn, starts a fire AOE timer when engaged, and periodically casts spell pressure on a valid client or bot from the hate list.
