New page

== Grimling Forest Guide ==

Grimling Forest begins the essence-style Luclin progression. The zone no longer behaves like a simple key farm: it asks you to kill enough lesser enemies, absorb named essences, and then deal with The Umbral Guide.

Only scripts in the current Grimling Forest parent folder are covered here.

== Access ==

Use [https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=45485 The Key to Grimling Forest] inside Fungus Grove. The click grants Grimling Forest access to the clicker or matching same-IP group/raid members, then consumes the key.

The Harbinger of Luclin works here as the Luclin zone puller.

== Essence Progression ==

The parent default script tracks two kinds of progress:

* Lesser enemies have a chance to count toward a forty-essence trash requirement.
* Named enemies each record a named essence.

Once the trash requirement and all named essences are complete, the script grants Scarlet Desert access.

Named enemies also cause The Umbral Guide to appear if it is not already up. Do not treat that as a random wanderer; it is the zone's pressure encounter.

== The Umbral Guide ==

The Umbral Guide opens with the Umbral Chorus theme and uses the Luclin boss package: health-break ramping, help calls, cleansing, life drain, add waves, and a chance to spawn an umbral beast on death.

Its script adds custom rewards rather than relying only on a visible loot table. Important rewards include:

* A random Veru gem.
* A random Grimling reward.
* A chance at Luclin class gear.
* [https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=45480 Reinforced Gem of Melee].
* [https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=43836 Crushed Cherries] - the first cherry piece.
* [https://shadowedeclipse.com/?a=item&id=17732 powersource upgrade gem].

== Practical Route ==

Use the Harbinger carefully to gather the zone, kill enough trash to finish the forty-essence requirement, then work named enemies until the final Scarlet Desert access message appears. Kill The Umbral Guide when it appears for the custom loot roll and the first cherry piece.
